旅と暮らしの本屋「アンダンテ」が開業1周年！　これからも、“歩くような速さで”

旅と暮らしの本屋「アンダンテ」って？

「アンダンテ」は、弊社出版事業部が運営する書店です。書籍文化の火を絶やさぬために、微力ながら版元と読者の橋渡しとなることを願い、2024年11月、弊社ビル1Fに誕生しました。

“Andante” is a bookstore run by our Publishing Division. Opened in November 2024 on the first floor of our building, it was founded with the hope of keeping the spirit of book culture alive by serving as a bridge between publishers and readers.

湾曲した大きなウィンドウ越しに、今オススメの本たちを眺めることも

書店名の由来は、「歩くような速さで」を意味する音楽用語の「アンダンテ」です。出版事業部の「旅と暮らしの出版社」という事業コンセプトをそのまま書店コンセプトに転用し、そこから連想して名付けました。旅に出たり、ゆったりした時間を過ごすためのヒント（本）を提供し、読者の非日常（旅）と日常（暮らし）を豊かにしたい、そんな思いを込めています。

The store’s name comes from andante, a musical term meaning “at a walking pace.” The name was inspired by our Publishing Division’s concept of being a “publisher for travel and everyday life.” Through books that spark ideas for travel or quiet, leisurely moments, we hope to enrich both readers’ everyday lives and their experiences away from home.

この1年で感じた手応え

書店の開業は弊社初めての試みですが、ありがたいことにオープン直後から話題を集め、この1年、多くのお客様に支えられ予想を上回る反響をいただいています。

地元のお客様はもとより、遠方からもわざわざ足を運んでくださる方もいらっしゃいます。ゆっくりと静かな時間が流れてくつろぎのある店は、これまでにないスタイルの書店として注目を集めています。

Opening a bookstore was a first for our company, but it quickly attracted attention. Over the past year, supported by many customers, the response has exceeded our expectations.

Not only local visitors, but also customers from afar come specifically to visit the store. Its calm, unhurried atmosphere and sense of comfort have drawn notice as a bookstore with a style unlike any other.

開業1周年を迎え、出版部員と店⻑を兼務する前田は「1年やってきて確かな手応えを感じています。本の持つ力、書店の持つ力を生かしながら、これからもアンダンテのファンを増やしていきたいと思っています」と話します。

As the bookstore marks its first anniversary, Maeda, who serves both as a member of the Publishing Division and as store manager, says, “After a year, I feel we’ve gained a real sense of momentum. By harnessing the power of books and the bookstore itself, I hope to continue growing Andante’s community of readers.”

本を通じたコミュニケーションの一環にも

実はこの「アンダンテ」、本好きな弊社社員の中にも利用者が多くいます。同じビルの1Fにあるという身近さはもちろん、福利厚生の一環として、本の購入費の一部に補助が出るからです。

社員には旅好きも多く、長期休暇が近くなると定期的に購入する者もいます。さらに、社内広報事業部の社員は普段から紙媒体を制作しているので、クリエイティブのアイデアやヒントを探すために利用している社員もいます。

Andante is also popular among our own book-loving employees. Aside from the convenience of being on the first floor of the same building, part of the appeal is that the company subsidizes a portion of book purchases as an employee benefit.

Many employees are avid travelers and tend to stock up on books as long holidays approach. Employees in the Corporate Communications Division, who work with print media daily, also visit the store to seek creative ideas and inspiration.

定期的に通っていると、棚やフェア台に並ぶ書籍の変化から、マーケットやトレンドの変化を読み取ることができ、その知見は、社内広報事業部の社員の刺激にもなっています。

By visiting regularly, employees can sense shifts in the market and emerging trends through changes in the books displayed on the shelves and feature tables, and these insights have become a source of inspiration for members of the Corporate Communications Division.

地域ゆかりの棚も根強い人気だそう

また、社内広報事業部のクライアント様の中にも、広報担当という仕事柄、本好きの方がいらっしゃいます。ご来社いただいた際にご案内すると、多くの方が関心を寄せてくださいます。「アンダンテ」という場所が新しいコミュニケーションのきっかけにもなっています。

Some of our customers are also avid readers, given the nature of their work in internal communications. When they visit our offices and are shown the store, many take a strong interest. In this way, Andante has also become a starting point for new conversations and connections.

1周年を記念して、ささやかな記念品も

この一年、試行錯誤しながら成長してきた旅と暮らしの本屋「アンダンテ」。開業1周年の感謝も込めて、オープン記念日である11月15日（土）から、冬季限定ブックカバーとささやかな記念品（クッキー）をご用意しています（いずれも数量限定）。まだ来店されたことのない方も、ぜひお立ち寄りください。

Over the past year, Andante, a bookstore focused on travel and everyday life, has continued to grow and evolve.
